A baby and an apple tree

We planted our baby “Hanakaido tree" to commemorate the birth of our second son.

Hanakaido, or "Malus halliana"  commonly known as Hall Crabapple in English.

Anyway, we will be able to enjoy pretty pink flowers in a few years.

The tree was a gift from the city we live in, and out of the seven trees that we could choose from, I chose Hanakaido...simply because Hanakaido is a member of the apple family, and I love apple flowers.

Language of flowers: Sleeping Beauty
Not really a boy's flower? 😏

It will be fun imaging the tree and our son growing up together.
